    trouble reading a 2011 tahoe powertrain swap. any ideas?

    I'm working on an old street rod that someone has swapped a 2011 Tahoe drivetrain into. The scanner hooks up fine, when I try to read the tune in vcm suite, it will start to read for about 10-15 seconds. I can watch the "time remaining" go from 2 minutes to 111 minutes and then it fails and says "timed out". what could be causing this?

    First thing that comes to mind, is why is the car there? Random electrical problems?

    I would also try reading another vehicle to be sure HPTuners is working properly.

    Typically things timing out means that a device sent a request and the request wasn't answered. This could mean dead ECM/TCM, bad wiring (short to ground on can bus), improper request sent, locked ECM/TCM, bad message sent, or even just low system voltage.

    Are values actually being reported in VCM suite?
