Thread: What is this?

    What is this?

I searched to try to find the unit of measurments but I could not find it.
On a 2000 Silverado P01 controller, under Airflow>Dynamic> High RPM Disable
I noticed it has units of measurement of "rpm", "w", and "rpm /" .

What is w? How it affects WOT?
What is rpm / ? How does this effect? I noticed if you click on rpm / , 4000 rpm turns to 4.

If it is 4 rpm /, how would this effect?

Units define the magnitude of the value (quantity).

Use a unit you're most comfortable with.

So does rpm / means (the rpm divided by a certain number)? Because I see when I input 4000 and use rpm unit and change the unit of measurement to rpm / the 4000 changes to 4.

My question is if the high disable is now 4 rpm/ what does this mean? Does this change when when the pcm uses only maf filtered meaning at an earlier event? Or is it the same as 4000rpm just a different unit of measurement.

Just use the unit of RPM.

And the unit you're seeing is like "rpm / 1000" but the 1000 is cut off. You can see the full unit by right clicking the parameter.

The "w" is a greek symbol used to represent angular velocity.
