SD tune on the dyno with ram air intakes???

I am about to put a G5X3 in my 2000 coupe. I use hpturers and am going to go with the 1 bar SD enhancement. My question is can you tune the VE on the dyno and expect it to be good? I know the car is suppost to get more air at speed than static on the dyno so what are the real tuners doing on cars with these ram air intakes???

I would assume with a load bearing dyno you could get it close.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I would assume that the faster you go the more off the VE would be. If you nail it on the dyno it should be good until the "ram air" effect kicks in then it would just get worse the more air you force in. I would think some of the big name tuners would have some expierience with this since SD tunes seem to be all the rage...

I think you're overestimating the effectiveness of
"ram air". The effect of -cold- air, viz the IAT and
its alleged over-compensation of the SD airflow, is
    another matter.

Remember that MAP is the key to SD and ram air
or not, MAP knows about it. If you're not ramming
enough to raise MAP, you're not ramming.

Exactly, I never really see a change in the AFR at the track running it up to about 100-105. Main thing I have noticed is just cooler temps.

one issue is that you cant simulate real world airflow..so you will never get it totally correct on any dyno...
only way to truely dial in AFR to be exact and dead on is to do it at the track or on the street in the exact conditions you are planning on using it in
