    Virtual Dyno Update

Just FYI to everyone, Virtual Dyno has a new update that will take HPT 3.x info directly without changing any of the .CSV values. 20170703_054204.jpg

Never used it before but i downloaded it and it won't open .hpl files and any time I export to CSV and load up the file the lines is all over the place, doesnt seem to be a way to clip it so it only uses part of the data in the file

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

You need to log specifically for VD - one straight WOT, not 10 MB logs with everything in it

    It work just fine.

What is it you need to be logging? that was a 5000-7200 pull in 3rd gear at the track which is 85-118mph. Doing that no the street isn't my intention. And I spin through the majority of 2nd gear on the street so would not give accurate results.

Just narrow the view on HPT and export on the view of the pull. It works fine if you have all of the correct data for the vehicle.

    You need better tires mate

Theoretically you need RPM, TPS and TIME only.

When you export uncheck interpolate data. You may still have to modify the TPS data to make sure its all 100% and not 99.9% or it may say it doesnt see and WOT. Unchecking auto trim TPS in the settings may help as well.

I'd be interested in the .csv file that produced this result, also is yours a manual or auto?

I didn't glean much from this either. Just a bunch of garbage. I'll stick with some simple math using MAF lbs/min. It's just a "feel good" number anyway. How it does at the track is more important IMO. As it stands mid 10's with a N/A stock long block 2012 is really all I need.

I usually use the rough math based on the MAF lbs/min. However, I am now guessing as I have maxed out that PID, so it is a guess at this stage. My DD is a 2012 GT, stock block with probably too much boost LOL. When it warms up here, it is off to the dyno again to get some new numbers.

I don't use it to see what my "numbers" are. I couldn't really care less about those. But it does help compare between tune changes or modifications given the same stretch of road and gear. The calculator will use SAE figures to account for the differences in weather.

For an example, I could change my VCT values make a pull, then load different values and make another pull on the same stretch of rural road. I would see the differences, especially when I tried to make bad changes and test to see if it would be different.
