3.5.789 Beta running CL lean ??

E38/SD/2Bar.

Loaded the new 3.5 beta, did a write entire, reset trims and was running 8-10% leaner during CL light cruise. Drove around for about 1/2 hour and LTFT are now correcting 10-12%.
Tune was unchanged when switching to 3.5 and previously LTFT+STFT running 2-4% .

Not sure if I should retune VE or first try going back to 3.4 to see just what changed. Looked around the forum to see if anyone else saw this but didn't see anything.

anytime you change your software version/beta

i would recommending reading the car with that new software version and save it ex: old tune 3.5xx

there are changes that you may not see happening in the background

Re-reading is not necessary. The binary content read initially does not change with software updates.

I switched to 3.5 beta and suddenly had a horrible warm start problem. Literally had to hold the gas pedal almost to the floor and even then could barely get running.

After going crazy trying things I did a write entire and the problem disappeared.

I have a few other issues suddenly too and am going to try going back to pre beta version to see if it's better.

i had te same problem . i found a blown exhaust gasket

Not sure why but trims are back to normal now without any changes to the tune. Not sure what fixed it and it's possible I screwed it up but here's the exact sequence I did.

Car running great on 3.4x. LTFT+STFT trims within 2%

Download the same exact tune with 3.5x, write entire, reset fuel trims
Result: Trims running 10% to correct for a lean condition even after driving around for about 20 mins.

Download the same exact tune with 3.4x, then upload with 3.5x. Disable "Desoot" mode and download with 3.5x, reset fuel trims
Result: Trims back to normal.
