    P0606 amongst other codes made for a fun morning.

    Took off for work this morning and just about the time I turn onto the highway I get a backfire and DTC pop up. I turn around to head back home to get a different car and more backfires, poor throttle response and it eventually dies. A couple of key turns and it doesn't even fire the starter, a little while later I get it to crank, but no start, a little while after that I got it fired up and back into my garage.

    I pulled the codes when I got home, cleared them, and tried to fire it up to get a log and no starter again. Two more attempts with no starter before it fires up. Kinda baffled, it was running great up until now, no tune changes from running well to this happening. Throttle tables are stock, any ideas? Looks like I probably need to replace the cam position sensor (the starred code returned after I cleared them), I don't see anything obvious, it seemed to start and run fine, I haven't driven it yet, however.

    Took it on a shakedown run last night without any issues, and the drive to work this morning went fine. Not sure why the ECM decided to go bonkers like that.

    Control module voltage 11. You may want to check out the alternator. considering the system was at 2000 rpm that's lower than I personally would want to see.

    the other thing is the 1 second since engine start.... if the code popped on while you were driving and this freeze frame is from that event then something commanded the ECU to start (or restart) and that may have affected things.

    Not sure what is up with that freeze frame, if you look at the log you can see the control module voltage is ~14.5 at idle. I don't really understand how these freeze frames work, but I was driving when the DTC popped up but just ignition on without the engine running when I pulled the info.

    It's a snapshot what was going on when the DTC popped out.

    Well that is really odd then, wish I would have been logging when that happened. Hasn't happened again, yet...
