    CTS V Boost Spike Issue

    I have a CTS V that is having a weird issue where occasionally the boost will spike in the middle of the RPM range. I have never seen this before, any ideas?

    Please see the attached picture, the boost spike is circled in red. Normal pressure is in the 180 kpa range, the spike hits 214 kpa. Could this be spark blowout?

    Yes or misfire in general...

    If you look at your rpms - it even shows the rpms stop climbing as radically and then takes back off afterwords... Something wrong causing a miss of some sort resulting in your seen spike...

    Yes, It doesn't feel like a clean pull but I dont want to do any more until I figure this out. In that same log I got 46 misfires on cyl 6 so Im pulling the plug now. Could the KR be the result of the misfire? Thanks for the quick reply

    Post the above log and a picture of the plug on top of a list of everything done to the car...

    It also stumbles right where your actually going wot - good possibility or transient issue depending on afr...

    Just started tuning the 50% E85- No added timing- just working fueling first

    Plug seemed to be ok, No weird color, no cracked porcelain, the gap was larger than I remember setting it to. I thought I set them all to 0.32 this one was about 0.38.

    Set plug 6 to .32 and reinstalled it seems better also added more fuel. Seems to be back to normal.
