Brilliant! Thanks Chris...... Works Perfectly! I've attached some logs so you can see it's working properly. No more issue. Been driving for the majority of the day, definitely is fixed. You can hold any gear WOT, it wont happen.
Just to clarify on this thread. It was a thing called "Injector Enrich Desoot Mode". Under Engine > Fueling > General. Set it to disabled to correct mid wot lean issue.
Chris added it to my tune, no doubt there'll be a few more changes to others........

Awesome, thanks for confirming it. Desoot mode modifies the injection timings to try and reduce soot formation in the cylinder. I'll go ahead and have the guys add this parameter to all calibrations. It is calibrated to have an enable delay of exactly 2 seconds after any enrichment mode begins.

I can also confirm that disabling Desoot Mode fixed the issue. After 4 years, I can finally WOT in peace

Interesting that GM leaned them out to heat them up to burn off carbon then laid the fuel back to them... AND only in the e38's?

Can you put a paragraph together on what the ECM did to create the spike @2.1 seconds. And what does desoot enable/disable actually do?

At what point can "the rest of us" expect to see this in the production code?

I expect within the next month. Meanwhile there is nothing wrong with requesting and using the beta.
Pretty sure this is desoot mode leaning it out but can someone please confirm?

definitely not. look at your map sensor reading, falls flat on it's face. looks like a massive air/vac leak to me.
