fixing speedometer dropout with high stall?

Has anyone been able to find a way to fix the issue with speedometer dropping out on launch when using higher than stock stall torque converters? My stupid you know what decided to go with a 2600 RPM stall instead of 3000 RPM stall, hoping it would avoid the problem, but, it's there, speedo reads nothing until you let off the gas. I know a lot of people have given up on this so far but, maybe a segment swap or something could fix it?

(Problem is with E67/T42 controllers in the Trailblazer SS)

I got this problem in my 05 gto with a 4k stall. Oddly enough I was datalogging at the track when it did this. After reviewing the logs..the speedometer on the readout was reading the speed. So it's loosing it between the ecm/tcm and the dash?
