LS3/LS7 MAP Sensor Foruma Voltage to KPA

Hi guys so I've searched and searched and havent found anything. Basically what I'm trying to do is wire in another MAP sensor to my dash logic so I can monitor crank case vacuum output by my vacuum pump. To do this I plan on using a ls3/ls7 map sensor I had laying around.

Here is the question, I need to make a pid to convert the 12591290 map sensor voltage into a KPA reading I can work with. Does anyone know what that pid is from GM?

I found a 1 bar conversion for GEN III sensors which is (V/.0533+10.35) but as far as I can tall it doesnt work with the ls3 style sensor. Can someone help me out here? I suppose I could go get an ls1 style sensor and make it work but I'd rather try to make this happen.

The data you need to figure it out is in the tune...

    Stock 2007 C6 LS7 file has values of linear = 94.43, offset = 10.34

linear is the map change per 5 volts. So 94.43 / 5 = 18.886 kpa per volt

offset means at 0 volts the value is 10.34 kpa

From there you should be able to figure it out

    MAP kpa = output voltage * 18.886 + 10.34
Post a log and tune if you want help

Thanks bud I appreciate it! For some reason my latest 3.4 scanner doesnt have map voltage as a pid to log, guess I'll have to contact supprot about that one

If i ever did get an ls1 sensor I assume I could look up the same values in the ls1 pcm and use those

Yeah I dunno, I've never had a reason to log raw map voltage

Yeah you should be able to do the same thing for whatever sensor
