    Question about MAF only tunes.

I've noticed when logging ltft+stft math against MAF, that I only collect data above 2000 rpms.

What accounts for fueling below 2000 rpms on a maf only tune?

    I have the SD/VVE disabled at 400rpms.

    you're doing it wrong.

No need for logs. I figured it out. I was thinking the column axis was RPM when really it is 2,000 hz, not 2000rpm.

How do remote tuners complete MAF only tunes without wideband input? I'm assuming if the closed loop fueling is tuned correctly, that once you enter into PE, if there are no carry over fueling corrections, that the actual PE EQ ratio will be very close to the desired PE EQ ratio. Am I right?

I'm asking because I want to tune my car myself, and right now I dont have a wideband. My plan is to tune the VVE, tune the MAF, set PE to 12.3, add some timing if it helps (without seeing knock) and hit the dyno to check AFR.

MAF only tunes are easy until you go beyond bolt ons. When you do bolt ins, blowers, you need a wideband. You already spent 650 on hptuners, now go and spend 200 more on a wideband. You'll be glad you did. If you're tuning the LS3 in your sig, shoot for 12.6

Ill get another one soon, but i should be able to do closed loop tuning now.

I still ask, how do so many remote tuners do it without a wideband?

This is where I'm at now.

    CAMMED MAF TUNING TEMPLATE.hpt
    CAMMED MAF LOG3.hpl

I liked this log, but when I manually added 2% to cells 2100,2250,2400 and subtracted 1% from cell 2550, and wrote that tune, I cam up with log #3 which seems further off everywhere
