e85 confusion

put e85 on top of dam near no gasoline changed stoich to 9.70 wideband indicated rich switched to lambda to confirm and it was rich got it to where it needed to be by changing stoich to 11.6. truck sat 2 weeks had half a tank. i added 5 gallons to tank to top it off before going out. wide band was going off chart at cruise speed and idle had to adjust stoich again now to 12.2 wide band back to normal made some hits n truck felt good. the station always test 85-90% no flex fuel sensor. i have few friends running e with out issue n no content sensor. what am i doing wrong?
