    Chris a little help?

This is a SD/open loop question for the I5 guys

    1. When in SD mode should it drop into Min VE table only?
    2. To set up open loop fueling to stoich should we just set the 5 tables to 1.0?
    3. The OLFA Gas(gear) & Gas(P/N) tables what does the vertical access represent? Its in Fehrenheit but im not sure what it is exactly? tranny temp? iat? ect? something else?
    4. Should we set the o2 readiness temps high or will the ect startup temp overrule that?

im sure theres more everyone would like to know but these are some of the questions on my mind.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

i haven;t looked at a LS2 or LS7 file but i do remember reading that they are very hard to tune compared to other motors, thanks for putting things into perspective for me .... plus i am a newbie to tuning so all this stuff makes my head hurt from time to time learning what affects what table and knowing that one wrong change could blow my 8,000 motor up

just log commanded afr in the scanner you'll be able to see...I don't have readily available access to a colorado/canyon though so the only testing I get is when im tuning them.

i don;t have a wideband and 2.1.10 and the new beta 2.1.11 don;t even support our factory narrowband O2 sensor, so i am not sure how i would log the commanded a/f, if i am just going to have to get a wideband now then i guess i will charge one... i just don't have the cash right now

sweet, thanks a bunch bro... when i leave home from work i am going to put this bad boy into SD mode and see what it does, i'll let you guys know how it goes late tonight or tomrrow morning.

really quick, i need to reset the fuel trims once i upload the tune and start the truck up for the first time in SD right and then after that i don;t have to do it again, right??

    1. afaik it will still use all the VE tables, they are selected based on the cam position and if the Multi VE option is enabled.

    2. they all multiply together for the final EQ ratio. 1.0 in all tables would give you that, but on some LS2's GM calibrates one table at 10.0 and another at 0.1. Regardless, as long as the final number is 1.0 it will do what you want.

    3. Intake Valve Temp

    4. both the enable temp and the o2 readiness need to be set high to disable closed loop completely. If you leave the o2 readiness then the STFT's will still operate.

well.... the truck liked being in SD mode so far... i had it almost die while idleing twice yesterday and other than that i have had no problems. However my Air/Fuel error is at -13 all over the board.... so now that i have my data i am going to being attempting to get these VE tables right
