i think its same as Malibu 2008-2010 3.5 to all that related to engine, the trans is not same.

Chevrolet Discontinued the 3.5L in the 2006 Model Year Uplander (And it's Siblings)
In 2006 the 3.9L was Launched with the LZ9 on the 1LZ Trim.
2007 Making the 3.9L as the standard engine on all trims. And with the LGD Flex Fuel 3.9L as an option.
