    Ls1 Tuning Help High idle with new intake and Throttle body

    Okay so here's the skinny on what's going on with my project, I got it tuned for a thunder racing 3798R camshaft and 243 heads, and headers and exhaust. Now I've put an ls2 intake with a 102mm TB and I'm tuning the car now and it won't idle below 1000 rpms, after getting back from my tuner her was just throwing a bunch of timing in at idle the lower it down so I'm trying to get it back stock and go from there to see what I have to do to lower the idle, any help will be greatly appreciated.
    It's in a 99 trans am with a t56

    throwing timing at it won't help anything. checked for manifold/vacuum leaks? adjusted the idle screw to set the tps correctly? tune file?

    I've checked the manifold and the tb for leaks and have not found one, the idle screw is backed all the way off and for some reason I'm not getting any tps reading on my scanner I just installed it yesterday so I don't know if I have to adjust any parameters, I know the tps is workingles because I used my code reader to look at it and it's showing it at like 27 percent at closed throttle

    you won't see tps percentage at idle at idle, you should see it when you tap the throttle however. reset the tps {unplug the tps, key on for thirty seconds, key off, plug back in}

    you would also need to have the set screw up to a certain point, unless the iac is stuck or bad.

    Well I thought the tps was bad so its a new one, and it still would not idle below 1500. If I upload my tune file do you think you can take a look at it and see if there's something weird with the I actually

    reset the tps on the car as stated above. need to get a good base established first. fuel trims in line, or did they go wonky as well?

    I did the reset and it changed nothing, fuel trims are acting normal, like I said it's like hp tuners can't see my tps but my scan tool can

    Come on guys, there is no TPS% at idle, the throttle blade is against the setscrew at idle (no pedal)...you have a drive by cable so you need to tune the idle starting with the IAC steps and Desired Idle air, LTIT, STIT etc.....Read up on DBC idle tuning....

    I would say it is not set correctly or busted. At operating temperatureand at idle, you should have about 50-65 IAC Steps and less than .9 volts for your TPS(v) parameter. Use the set screw to set this. And of course TPS% would be 0%.

    Okay well, I got a good brand tb and apparently it's to big for my intake because it just creates a vacuum leak around where it bolts to the intake but the tps reads 0 at idle on it,
