Wasn't sure where to put this but I have a guy wanting to swap in a 2012 5.3 and trans and computer into an older vehicle. I don't think he has the bcm. Is that gonna be a problem or will I be able to turn off vats and keep rollin? TIA

It can be swapped just fine, you can still disable the VATS without the BCM.
You just need to keep most of the other stuff like o2 sensors, speed sensors to make that 5.3/6L80e combo run like normal.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
