p0010 and p0011 after cam install

Hello all, new to the forums. I have a 2012 silverado that I just had a 218/224 cam installed with the DOD delete done. I have no check engine light the scanner shows P0010 code. When i set the code to "no error reporting" it triggers a P0011... I have read that I have to set camshafts to "none" under Engine/ Airflow/ Variable Camshafts and also set codes to "no error reporting".... When i asked the tuner he said I could not disable codes cause it wouldnt run right and it needs to just be set to no mil... any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.... I do not want to flash it till I get a confirmation... Thanks again

Did he change the camshaft to "none" in the tune though?

That needs to be done if you swapped out the VVT cam.

Like I said in my previous post, if you are not running a VVT cam like the factory one you need to set the camshafts to none instead of one.

Besides that this vehicle hasn't really even been tuned at all. No changes to airflow tables at all. Still has stock VVE and MAF curve. All I really saw was that the rpm rev limit was raises, minor timing adjustments and transmission shift speeds and little stuff like that.

It's going to need more work on everything else, starting with a new VVE tune followed by MAF tuning.

Thank you for looking, that was kind of what i feared... I know a 3 bolt cam went in and not a single bolt.. Since I dont have a wideband, Ill have to tune with the stock oxygen sensors in speed density... I will start there and continue researching.. Thanks again!

I just did a complete rebuild on my L94 6.2L and installed a Texas Speed Part# 25-TSP216228-113-3b Specs are as follows intake 216 Exhaust 228 List .353 / .353 .600 /.600 @ 1.7 nrockersx LSA 113 Intake centerline 108. I deg the cam shaft and all cam up great, I turned moff the DOD and for the VVT I changed the cam to 0 and on the intake charts changed it all to 0's, I still get a P0010 code with a P0300 code that I had before the rebuild verything nit brand new it runs great just these 2 codes now I did purchase a Ignition coil hot wire kit from MSD have not install it yet. SDorry if this is in the wrong area, but simular issues to current thread.
    Any help would be great.

If you have a code set before you disable a DTC, it will stay 'permanent' FOREVER. Because as soon as the DTC is disabled, the diagnostics CAN NOT RUN in order for it to see that it has passed.

Make sure the front engine cover was replaced. The depth of the reluctor is substantially different for a non vvt cam...
