    Gen 3 Silverado with gen 4 motor Throttle Body question

    Hi,have a 05 truck, redid a gen 4 6.0 for it.I have a X-link adapter. Thanks to some great help on here,I have it running great,with good mpg.The problem has been a REP light and codes P0120, P2135, P1516. This was intermittent and I have replaced the TPS,TB pigtail,added grounds,ohmed the harness, checked for poor gnds,etc.Earlier this week it set the rep light and codes P1516,P2135 3 times in a mile.I have followed the failure records and GM diagnostics with out resolving it.I also followed the T/S document from X-link. I finally changed it back to the original T/b with a 4-3 bolt adapter plate.Instantly no codes or rep.I drove it 35 miles yesterday with no issues.

    My question is will this T/B work with the Gen 3 PCM?

    Also what needs changed in the tune to use this T/B?

    To avoid those issues I use the Gen3 TB with an aluminum adapter to bolt the TB to the Gen4 intake. A Gen3 75mm TB is not a restriction for a stock engine.
    If you still want to use a 90mm TB, you can use a DBC TB with the Gen3 PCM, but you will lose Cruise Control.

    Thanks for the help. It is much appreciated.I spoke with X-Link about the throttle body blade color as I also thought that you had to use a silver blade T/B on a Gen #3.They said that the gold T/B works fine.I bought one and discovered that the blade opens in the same direction as the original and that the TPS,APP percent and voltages are correct for a Gen #3.After installing it, the throttle worked fine and no REP light or any codes.I rechecked it with a Snap-on scanner and the data looks the same as the original T/B.I have over 150 miles on it and no problems.I readjusted the ETC scaler to .0190.Should I redo the Maf table or VE table? It runs fine, I have noticed that it requires less throttle opening with the new T/B.Which would explain the increase in engine vacuum.Thanks again and I hope someone can use this info.
