    E92 controller DTC clearing.....

    Riddle me this...

    1) How can you have a DTC disabled and still get a mil light?

    2) How can HPT show a DTC, go to clear it and it doesn't go away but when you read it with GM GDS it shows no code. I think I believe the GM tool first......

There is definitely something wrong with how HPT is reading and address the DTC function. This is very frustrating and I'm not sure why this has been going on this long. I have sent enough to support and its just looked at like its not reallt a problem......but it is....what is different with how the E92 deals with this?

Im having the same issues. In most cases the code is related to the 02 sensors but also have been P0011 and both P0420 and 430.
Maybe email is the better alternative.

These are permanent codes that 2.24 did not scan. Permanent codes cannot be cleared via the DTC list.

Both of our owners responded to the same question in a thread posted here http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...R-CUST-SERVICE
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I had trouble just clearing a DTC a DTC on a E92 yesterday. I turned the IGN on with the IAT unplugged and couldn't get the code to clear. Finally got it after a few minutes or the car cleared it self, not sure what did it.

It's like it has to test itself to be sure it works, you can clear the CEL through the scanner and the current code but it won't believe you until it sees it for itself....

not sure if they addressed the issue of a DTC set to NOT REPORT still actively showing up on the HPT DTC list.

If VCM Scanner shows them, the vehicle is reporting them. VCM Scanner won't simply inject random DTC id's into that list.

The flags of the DTC should give you more information.

You can send your own mode 0A request and get the same response of permanent codes. It isn't a glitch.
