    Tach signal

    Hi guys,

    I have an lt4 swap into a nissan patrol managed to get the car to start i am wiring an rpm gauage that requires the following:

    to have a true-tach or a signal with half that rate.

    Can anyone support me on this?

    Sorry ... a bit confused.

    You are using a standalone E92 ECM, and have wired an output to a Tach ?

    You have a useable Tach pulse, but need to reduce the rate (pulses) by half ?

    The tachometer requires a true tach signal or a signal with half that rate i dont knw where to get that signal from on e38 ecu there is a pin where u can add a wire and control the singal from ecu

    If you are asking where the Tach output is for an E92 ECM, it is J2 (Black) pin 47. However, I don't believe that there are any editable parameters (i.e. Tach type, pulses High / Low) available in the software yet.

    Then we need to ask support to add them so we can get proper rpm speed

    Do you currently have a pulsed output from J2 pin 47 ?

    If so, how much too fast or too slow is it reading ?
