Can support bring this feature back?

Being able to hover over a table and right clicking to do paste instead of opening the table itself.

Blind pasting won't be coming back.

However, you can right click on a table, and copy. Then, you can open another table, and just click anywhere and click paste, or just click the paste icon at the top.

We have a new system in development that will allow for easier copy/pasting/importing for building mass tunes.

    How about templates?
I use other software which supports the use of templates. They speed up the tuning a lot.

Why is that? It was one of the most coveted features about your software to me. Ass far as building out your base tune before you get started it was the number one time saver. Build your high octane table out, stamp it quickly into all the other duplicate timing tables. Build your transmission shift tables out, use it to set all the other trans modes the same. I even used it more than the normal compare feature to transfer tables quickly from a compare file. Of all the things that make me loath 3.xx, this is the one that keeps me on 2.24 unless I have to use the version 3. Second is the copy / paste buttons not selecting all by default when nothing has be selected yet. That also henders quicky importing data from a compare file. I just don't see how retaining the feature impedes moving forward with the "new" plans for your software.

I create starter transmission tables in 3rd party software (from Bluecat) all the time...I think paste them in with the blind paste feature...it's my favorite way to do it. Then I just make minor driver feel based adjustments from there and I'm happy.

I'd love to see this feature come back.

I believe this is to protect people from themselves. Blind pasting will copy a table in that may not fit, and cause all kinds of problems. making you to open the table to paste it forces you to actually look at the table, and see if they are the same, what you do from that point is on you, but at least you had the opportunity to verify. Granted us professionals (Usually) know what we are pasting to, and can do this efficiently, however we do have to remember that this software is marketed to the tuner shops and beginners alike.

Maybe if it doesn't work in beginners view, but does in advanced?

or would that even be possible?

I'm sure it's possible.. but Keith seems to be pretty adamant against it, likely or the reasons you mentioned already.. so I would not expect it to return

I asked for this too. Right now this and having the VIN tool in the editor (I full flash a lot of ECMs to send out) are literally what is tying me to 2.24x unless forced to use 3.xx. I'm not stubborn or holding on; I use these things many times a day and I need them.

I looked in the editor this evening after a fresh DL/install and didn't see it. I believe you but man I feel like I looked all through the editor. I have a '411 ECM that is "an s10" and it needed to be an '02 Vette. In the prior SW I open the base cal of appropriate match (for the new vehicle), update the VIN, save the cal, do a full write and it's done. I hope it's similar and I'm low on coffee at the moment.

I don't know about the distaste for the table-paste, but could it be in the Advanced only mode with a warning about it's use or something? Tuning even ONE new auto car is much faster in the older ware. I did my first auto 8-speed Camaro a few weeks ago in 3.xx and I missed it more than I can say. I sailed through tuning a late model manual trans Dodge the following day with the same software and it was all love, it worked great from beginning to end. I'm ready to move daily work over to 3.xx, just hoping to have all of the old functionality in regards to high use tools.

    Thanks.

100% agree. Especially on some of the 6/8spd auto tranny tunes. This makes some of those tables a breeze being able to copy and paste the entire tables.

yea... this was awesome... can we please have it back??? I actually create more errors by opening the table and doing all of that extra work, then sometimes I dont remember what table I just copied by the time I go to paste.

Can we at least get a response as to why it "won't be coming back"... It may not be a big deal to a hobbyist or noob, but to the rest of the us who do this for a living you broke your own software by removing one of the most versatile features. I can only think of one reason, and it is a pretty despicable one.

Having never used your tool, I'm guessing you used the paste feature as a way to integrate with editor. It has nothing to do with that at all.

We'll likely add the feature back at some point, but it would probably be around 3.6 or so.
