    AEM 30-0333 OBD Wideband

Anyone see this yet? AEM is offering CAN programmed widebands now directly from the factory.

    Yup.

Last 100ish posts have the most talk about it.

Cool. Didn't realize they started talking about that and not a Dr. Mike flash. I didn't even know they made that yet.

Will it work on CAN and Pre CAN vehicles without any changes?

Yeah, I guess this needed it's own thread. The beta for the re-flashed 30-0300s ended a while ago.

The 30-0333 is basically the 30-0300 with the re-flashed OBDII code, with a pre-wired OBDII pass-thru cable.

Will it work on CAN and Pre CAN vehicles without any changes?
Yes. With the caveat that, for pre-CAN vehicles, you have to wire in a terminating resistor between the CANH and CANL wires. I have not seen the new 30-0333 cables. So, I am not sure what the easiest way to do this is. But, in any case, it's pretty simple.

Also, I am pretty sure that only HPTuners 3.0 is capable of the simultaneous dual CAN/J1850 logging.

Just realized I titled this incorrectly. I have a 03-0310 as a portable setup now. PM me about what it would cost to have you reflash it for me. I can't figure out how to send you a message using the website from my phone.

    AEM 30-0333 install

I installed my AEM 30-0333 yesterday and it is virtually plug and play. Just make sure your scanner software is 3.2 or more.

I'm using Eginewiring.com wiring harness to do standalone 2012 Cruze 1.4 turbo engine swap. The CAN wiring is already inplace. NO, TCM,BCM, FPCM in place, just ECM. It all works.

    It is

But yeah, have to add resistor on pre-CAN vehicles. For later models it's a bit easier
I believe that, for now, the current version of VCMScanner does not support mixing CAN and VPW modes. So, if you have a pre-CAN ECU, you are better off using the 0-5v output.

Where are you guys running the power wire? I usually run mine to the rear fuse box but I was thinking maybe just keep everything up front for the hardwired gauge.... Cig lighter?

Probably should edit the thread title to have the right part number, though

I edited the only place it would let me and it still didn't change the main title so I'm guessing an admin will have to do it.
