You wont. Best you can do is install a ground type temp sender in the motor and if you are using the stock one, youll need to drill a port into the waterpump and tap it as the thread size is way bigger than anything you can put in the cylinder head.

I'm new and not sure what a 411PCM is so I could be wrong but.. If the Camaro swap is using a single speed electric or mechanical fan, what if you set the 2nd electric fan output to turn on at the temp the you desire the warning lamp to illuminate. It is my understanding that PCM provides a ground for the fan relays. Could that ground be used to complete the circuit for the lamp?

Yeah that would work but I'm running a dual fan setup and will be using both of those outputs already. Thanks for the help tho!

    Would this work?

I used one of these and a relay to run the fans on a LS swap.
You could also use a adjustable fan control to run the light.

You can just t tap the wire or split off the fan control wire from the pcm and it shouldn't effect anything else. Or you could wire a relay backwards and use ground side control instead of power side and tap in that one.

If your going through the trouble of installing one of those, why not just use the factory (for the 1st gen) temp switch or one that is hot for the LS vs the SBC that woulda been in it?

The point of the temp light is when it gets too hot, its a dummy light for cars without gauges. Having a light that turns on with the fan would be pretty friggin annoying.

The one i listed from Summit will fit the LS Head.
The other ones require a hole drilled into the water pump and tapped.

It will probably set a code due to the PCM seeing the additional load.

And how is it adjustable for the proper temp to turn on the light ???

Set high side temp to when you want the temp light to come on and it kicks on the fan.

Post #1 does not specify adjustable.
