only runs with Scanner Commanding closed loop

    hey guy's,

I started a thread back in April called "another vats thread" to find out my VE tables were zeroed out with the 2bar OS loaded up, only had a 2 second run. A guy was kind enough to get me a table that i copied and pasted to my tune. It starts and idles for a little while, then it gets really choppy then die's.

    16-05-29 15-43-55.hpl

I found a option in Scanner to command closed loop and learn fuel trims. bang it started idled really smooth. gas pedal worked as long as i feathered it and i was showing long term and short term fuel trims.

    16-05-29 15-56-36.hpl

here is the 2Bar SD tune
    55.hpt

greatly appreciated if anyone could look at them and maybe fill me in where i'm going wrong?

Make all three of your VE tables the same - not just two of them, THEN you need to tune in your VE tables You could start by multiplying them by .7 just to keep your engine running - stay out of high engine loads until you know your fueling is close...

Add O2 B1S1 and B2S1 voltage to the list of stuff you're logging so we can see what's going on. I'm wondering if the O2 sensors are working at all or working correctly

Are you still running open exhaust? That will wreak havoc on o2 sensor readings. My guess is either the sensors aren't working or they're getting some wacky readings.. then when you reset fuel trims they start back at 0 and that's why it runs better for a little bit. Rinse/repeat

Add those O2 sensor PID's to what you're logging and post another log so we can have a look

Also, your MAP sensor settings are wrong. It's reading 15psi of BOOST at engine off. That's not quite right.

Not sure how I missed that one Carson Had to go back and look again - yeah you should have "your" barometric pressure reading with key on / engine off - if your unsure - you can google barometric pressures for your altitude or just hook you scanner up to your daily driver and see what your map reading is with the engine off... You MAP sensor setting in the tune is almost identical to a cobalt SS 2 bar map - What MAP sensor are you using? This would explain A LOT of the fueling issues - MAP setup needs to be right before attempting corrections

Looks like it was changed from 1 bar to 2 bar MAP settings somewhere along the way... just looked through the change history. I really like that feature in V3.

I almost missed the crazy boost readings too

hey guy's, Just got back in from my gold mine for a couple weeks!, I have the stock Y pipe on it to get the engine dialed in, not able to get the o2 sensors to show any voltage.. so i went out and got 2 new ones and still no luck.. but its not throwing any DTC's for the o2 sensor's. How would one get the thing to stop thinking its supercharged?? lol. I wonder how would one just make the damn thing run?!. I was hoping it would be as simple hooking everything up and turning off the vats!!, with the stock OS loaded up and vats disabled and the Maf sensor hooked up the thing wont even start??

    Post a log.

What are the O2 readings showing up as?

Are you sure they're connected properly? Usually they show 450mV if they aren't connected properly. That's why I want to see a log

You aren't logging O2 sensor voltage.

Right click in the channels list, add channel, "O2 voltage B1S1" and also "O2 voltage B2S1" (or closest you can find in your list)

Then you'll be able to use O2 sensor voltage in charts/graphs

Set the MAP sensor settings back to stock first. Take another log, then we'll see where it is

Right now it's showing ~8PSI of BOOST at idle.. which obviously isn't right
