Help me before I torch my truck please?!

Ok I'll make this story as short as possible, I just recently got my truck running again, when it started 2/4/6/8 were dead, found no power to the coils. I ran a new wire and now have power at the coils, I went to start the vehicle and I no longer hear the fuel pump prime, I can put 12v to the prime terminal and the pump runs so the pump is not dead. So I go to crank it it cranks it won't start though because the fuel pump is no longer being triggered. I got a different PCM and it will not trigger the fuel pump either, I swapped my old PCM back into the truck turned the key on the pump primed but wouldn't start, turned key off and then went to start it again and it acts like it's dead. Wait a minute or 2 and it will crank again but no fuel pump prime(still). So now to why I'm posting on the forum, I plugged in my HPT and I can read the PCM, I cannot write to it though it times out. Am I missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
