slow cranking when starting and really slow when warm

hi i have a 02 camaro with a 408 and turbo and just started tuning it. cranks slow when starting and really slow after being warm. new battery new starter new engine . pretty much everything is new. any ideas what can cause this? can it be something in the tune?

    Good grounds or checked them??

Can you put a DDM on the battery and see what it drops to in volts when you crank it??
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Actually place DVM at terminals of starter, and measure while cranking. This will show you the actual voltage at the starter and the voltage drop will be the Battery voltage (key off) minus the Starter voltage. Starters pull a lot of amps while cranking which results in a lot of voltage drop across even a small increase in resistance....V = I X R. If the Battery voltage drops then there is a much greater draw that normal. There will be some drop (2-4 v) during cranking.

Hate to even mention this, but what bearings are in the motor and who built it? Volt drop while cranking will tell the better story - As previously stated - check what voltage drops to while cranking at battery post and then on the starter - You can also do an actual "volt drop" on the cables themselves while cranking...

Was vehicle doing this before the build?
    2010 Vette Stock Bottom LS3 - LS2 APS Twin Turbo Kit, Trick Flow Heads and Custom Cam - 12psi - 714rwhp and 820rwtq / 100hp Nitrous Shot starting at 3000 rpms - 948rwhp and 1044rwtq still on 93
    2011 Vette Cam Only Internal Mod in stock LS3 -- YSI @ 18psi - 811rwhp on 93 / 926rwhp on E60 & 1008rwhp with a 50 shot of nitrous all through a 6L80

my experience with 408's are that they tax the stock starter heavily (especially if the compression is up there a bit) and require a better than stock starter

not sure exactly what bearings but it was built by erl and it has a new powermaster xs torque starter and compression is only 9.5 to 1 . ill have to check the voltage drop

A friend has a 2011 SS with the same issue. Did you ever get this resolved?
