Standalone LHU works! It really works!

In December I finished installing a junk yard LHU into my race car and, of course, it wouldn't start. Jerry from Bad News Racing accepted the challenge of getting it running and was in contact with his sources from the far sides of the globe. First we got the VATS problem sorted and it would start and run but made no boost. Then we solved that problem and made 330hp/337 ft/lb on the dyno running 91 octane fuel. Neither the car or the engine had been in a competition until yesterday and we didn't know what was going to happen. At first my vehicle speed sensor was sending an erratic signal to the ECM, which limited power. But once that bug was fixed, the car was a rocket. The engine had bags full of power at all rpm and pushing the gas pedal was like hitting warp drive. Even on 4 year old tires, I set the fastest time of the day by 3 seconds and can't wait to see what it will do once Jerry analyzes the logs and sends me a tune for the 110 octane gas that is in it now. These Ecotec engines are awesome! Check out the videos from the event:
