Upgrading to 3 bar map speed density?

I thought I had to buy an extra license to do this, but it appears it's going to let me write the tune without buying an additional license. Am I missing something, or is there no licenses required for this?

    Thanks

no licenses required with software version 3.0, though it looks like you are running some very old software.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Thanks. That is the older version on my laptop. For some reason I cannot get anything to come up under OS on the newer version on my desktop. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Its because you already applied the 2 bar custom operating system.

3.0 takes the complexity out of things, notice how in older versions you'd see a duramax RTT custom operating system available for your non duramax ecm? Yeah, 3.0 fixes bugs found in older software.

    .
I didn't do it intentionally. How can you tell I applied it? So I cannot go to a 3 bar if the 2 bar has been applied? Is there any way to go back and then go to the 3 bar?

Sorry, still really new at this.

    Thanks again

The tune details window will show you this information.

Correct you cannot pile on a 3 bar custom operating system to a file thats already had a 2 bar custom operating system applied to it

Open the stock file in order to apply 3 bar.

I attempted to write this PCM back to stock. I have not been able to find anything in the tune details showing a 2 bar OS. I still cannot get anything to show up in the OS window.
    Sorry for all the trouble.

What if you do not have THE stock file from the same vehicle and need to get a stock file from the repository due to the same issue as above? How do I license this other stock file that has a different VIN?
