looks like you are in demo mode(ie you haven't entered your app key). Additionally 3.0 does not support XP so you might consider updating your pc/laptop to something that is supported.

Application key has been entered, it also shows the interface serial number when I open the application. And you all need to update your PC requirements I bought this laptop because your site said XP was good to go?! Now you're telling me to update it? We both know XP is very stable.
Looks like you all changed it on your website, I'll update to Windows 7 I guess! So how do I get it out of demo mode on my current system? Or is it not going to work on XP at all?
actually i even use 3.1 beta on XP just fine, but you need to be a bit of geek to make it work properly

Ok this may be a dumb question and please keep in mind I am new to this!! will it show the amount of credits I have without being plugged into a vehicle?
I ran the log like you asked it says GM 8/8 so i assume that means I have 8 credits. Sorry for all the newB questions. I also upgraded to windows 7 today.
Yes it will show even without being connected to a vehicle, and yes if nothing has been licensed on the interface 8 available of 8 credits is normal.

The original problem that caused me to start this thread. Why do I have that gray screen like it's in demo mode as you say? Also while I have your attention, is there a link that shows us how to do our own segment swaps? I plan to install a 4l80e next week which is why I bought HP
email support if you still can't get it to show up.
There is a sticky in the gm trans or misc section on how to do segment swaps.
