    2010 camaro cammed stinky idle injector timing questions

    How many have had success at changing injection timing with cammed gen iv cars. Would like to clean up some of the stinky fuel smell.

    Provide your cam specs, injector part number, engine specs as well as a tune file. Are you running CATS?

    Will need to know if it's FI or not too and if it is whether or not it's a pd blower... If all your looking to do is to get rid of idle smell - go to your ect table and make the numbers less 10 at a time at first - watch fuel trims and make sure they don't get out too far bank to bank - if they do go back the other way...

    Sorry fellas got busy for a bit there. It's an Ls3 man shift car. Basically stock except for the cam and valve train work I recently did as well as long tube headers with no cats on the system. Also factory injectors and Has an aftermarket intake as well.. trims are good and everything is dialed in fairly well except for the excess fuel being dumped into the exhaust via overlap. 20160401_182444.jpg20160401_182444.jpg20160401_182444.jpg

    Figured maybe a guy can squeeze a bit better running conditions out of it with some proper injection timing to match the new cam profile

    I used dsteks eoit calculator I looked for weeks for it but it really helped me with 17* of overlap sooo your welcome

    It's very useful because you can actually see if it will be spraying on an open valve or closed. Normally only need 10-20 in the ect tables to clear it up at idle, it's very simple like ghuggins said. Part throttle will get you though. Good luck hope this helps you!

    I've been getting decent fuel economy and power gains with the tables I've got in this one - you'll have to play with idle and you might need to add a touch of fuel up top... Dial the ect table in via slightly warm throttle snap crispness - then you can play with the boundary around the idle area for fuel smell...

    This is a NA LS7 unless I posted the wrong tune - hmmm may need to double check it... The 818 rwhp Camaro that I posted up a while back was only making 11.9psi if memory serves? It had different tables for the pd blower... I just used these tables - actually in a gm crate ls2 that was in a rock crawler buggy - helped with fuel smell at idle and making some power up top - you can dial the boundary back more up top for better hp optimization if you've got the cam for it... OP's cam is decent from the looks of it, so I know it'll need some playing with the ect and lower boundary areas...
