Tuning a 411 in a 98 Silverado 5.7 with 2000 Escalade Tune
Hello fellow friends, I looked briefly and didnt see anyone noting about this, so sorry if I did over look and missed a post on it already. But I was wondering if anyone with a 98, even a 97 or 96 Silverado with the 5.7 and 411 Swap... Has done a copy over tune of the engine part from a stock 1999 or 2000 Escalade with the 5.7, even tho they have a black box ecu, and had decent results with it, like a little more power or adjustment in MPG, or anything? Just wanna do a little testing... They suppose to have a little more HP stock then the silverado, even with the exact same engine... Thank you for any response in advanced.

They use a express van 2001-2002 with a 5.7 for a base starter tune. It's mainly done to remove the hard coded 5800 Rev limiter. It's also easier to program, and is a faster responding pcm than the black box, so yes, picking up a few HP is possible.
Thanks,
Dustin
