I have a 2006 6.0 the ficm went out. When I install a new one will doing a write entire of the stock tune file program the new ficm?
Simple fix. Don't bother swapping the whole ficm. Get the board itself and put that in. No need to program ficm.
It's the computer side that is bad. A new board wouldn't work.
You have to use IDS to reprogram the FICM or have it sent off to a shop that can bench flash it.
