RTT Support now available in VCM Suite 3.1 BETA

The beta has to be requested via support.

RTT has been added back as a function of VCM Scanner.

It's still a work in progress, post your bugs/issues in this thread please.

Does this only apply to Gen III hardware, or did you guys manage to implement something for E38/E67?

No, it's still only available to existing RTT supported vehicles, which are select operating systems in the GM Gen 3 category.. mostly 98-02 GM V8 vehicles.

This does not apply to Ford, Dodge, or any modern GM vehicles.

Never say never, but it's unlikely. Newer ECMs structure the data differently and also don't have as much freedom compared to the old LS1. Also, at the moment we are spending all our engineering time developing support for new vehicles.

I know a few of people complained about the lack of RTT in 3.0.

Now is your change to try it out...

Ill be checking it out soon. Once this is lined out I see very little reason to continue using 2.24.

Here's a little tip for the new RTT.

When you use the +/- keys to modify a cell(s), it will modify whatever cell(s) you have highlighted (they'll be in blue).

If you hit the ESC key, you'll deselect all cells, and the +/- key will affect the currently active cell following the vehicles scanner input.

That's nice that there won't be a need to toggle anymore.

You may also notice the reading and writing in RTT is many times faster. For example, to read a table that took 17 seconds in 2.x takes 4 seconds in 3.1

Highly unlikely. I would certainly love it.. but they've said it's unlikely for anything beyond gen 3 GM's for technical reasons beyond my understanding.

GREAT news! I don't have a Gen3 car on the rollers today but looking forward to putting this to the test when I do in the next couple days.

Todays beta also has the vin change feature added back into it, still the same licensing requirements but at least its there. As is vats relink(found in the scanner software in the controls section).
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
