    07 Mustang license issue

    We pulled a program on an 07 GT and licensed it. Turns out it was previously tuned with sct. So the file was useless. It would let me reflash the car but would not start. Sent the car to the dealer for a stock flash and now it wants me to license it again. Is that the norm and only way?

    I believe you will need to license it again. Someone mentioned the licensing is not sorely based on ECM, but also the file you licensed. Since the dealer flashed a new file on it, you would need to license that file now. Maybe Eric can clarify it

    different stratgy, if the dealer flashed the newest PCM software. you need to license it again.
