    2 Bar SD Tune

When going SD on a GEN IV platform, you need to select the 2 Bar SD Option.

Do you have to replace the MAP sensor with a 2 or 2.5 bar sensor??? Or can you modify the MAP value from 200 kpa back to 100 kpa and just use the stock sensor??

    Thanks

You don't need to go to the custom 2 bar OS to tune and run in SD mode. The standard OS does that too. And you can also use the stock 1 bar MAP sensor with the 2 bar OS if you wish. But that defeats the purpose of upgrading to the 2 bar OS.

If you are not going to add boost...stay with the stock OS. I think you've been misinformed on the need for a 2 bar. Perhaps the VVE coefficients are confusing you? The new HP Tuners 3.0 software package makes it much easier to SD tune with the standard OS.

How do you get the VE table withe the stock OS??

So I can just change the MAP sensor value from 200 to 100 in the 2 bar tune??

No, you can't just change the MAP sensor value from 200 to 100. The map sensor values have nothing to do with that. You need to tell us more about what MAP sensor you're running and we can show you what settings to put in.

    To see VE tables....
I assume you are using the new HP Tuners software (version 3.0xx)? If not, then make sure you download that first. Then open your tune up, and go Edit - Virtual Volumetric Efficiency (the main menu bar right at the top of the screen). Then you can see your VVE. Adjust it. And create the coefficients to load back in your tune.

You can use whatever map sensor you want with whatever OS you want. Common misconception that you have use a 2 bar map sensor with a 2 bar OS, etc. Only limited by map sensor settings that the ECM will accept basically.

Use virtual volumetric efficiency in HP Tuners V3 if all you want to do is edit a "VE" table. Or you can upgrade, it's free.
