Can't get my MAF to fail for VE tuning

Anyone have a trick in getting the MAF to fail? I have the low/high fail set to 0 Hz. Yet the thing keep reporting. I then unplugged it which of course fails the MAF but then it also fails my IAT reading (defaults to -40). I've seen the trick about pulling the yellow wire out of the MAF connector. But is there some other trick out there that can be done simply in the tune?

Do you have the 3 codes for the MAF setup correctly??

Set all 3 to fail on first error, I leave the box checked to toss the engine light on.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Yep. It was originally set to fail on second error. So I changed it to fail on first error. Still no luck. The damn thing just will not fail.

And it really messes with my fueling too.

I think I'm just going to pull the yellow wire out of the MAF connector.

I like to pull the wire. That way there's no doubt.

I pulled it. Totally failed now and I'm getting my IAT readings back again. Crazy how these computers refuse to fail the MAF.

That's so weird. Have you posted the tune?

Here is the tune file I am using to tune VE. Can't get the MAF to fail via the tune. The wire trick did it.

    I'd love some advice...

Try setting the high/low count threshold to something like 3 and 30 respectively in engine diag-->airflow. Also try setting high fail freq to 1 instead of 0, and low to 10. Not sure why it'd matter, just giving you what worked on mine
Post a log and tune if you want help

I like to log the MAF sensor state PID, very handy.
