2009 ctsv. vcm editor,engine,map offset. is this offset to make the boost/vacuum read correct in vcm scanner? or does it change the engine tuning?

Both, the tune needs to know what size MAP is on the engine.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
Both. It is what it is for a particular sensor--shouldn't have to change it. If the readings are off and the settings are right then get a new MAP sensor.
