Convert VVE table to 2bar OS 32x32

Does anyone have a spreadsheet or tool to help with this? I want to go from VVE to 2bar, but the table sizes are different. VVE is 27x41 and 2bar is 32x32.

You can use bluecat's most recent vve tool, make the axis as you want and just copy and paste into the editor??? There are some steps discussed on how to do the axis change through a different part of the file. Make the axis change then open the tool... Hope this helps Jesse.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. Forgot all about that tool once it was added into 2.25+

You can change the VVE table to whatever RPM/MAP values you want. Just use the RPM/MAP break points in the 2 bar tune (probably only want to use the area that it's actually tuned for.. just 1 bar if it's a factory NA car) and then invert the whole table in Excel and you'll be good for a starting point. Over 1 bar you're going to have to be guessing. Start with the 105kpa values and increase a few percent every MAP value to get you going.. and obviously ease into it.

I think I follow you, use the equations to build the VVE table a few rows/columns at a time to match the 2bar table.

No, post both tunes and I'll show you

The fact that the "VVE" table is 27 x 41 doesn't matter. You can make it 4x4 or 100x100, whatever you want it to be.

Make it the same as the VE table in the 2 bar tune (or at least the non-boost portion of it), copy paste that into excel. Copy it again, paste again doing the "transpose" option, and now you have a VE table you can put into the 2 bar tune to start with

(when I say the "same" I mean with the column/row axis reversed since they are obviously swapped when looking at a "regular" VE table vs. what shows up in the VVE eidtor.. but that's not a big deal)

Or at least I think you will anyways.

Alright, here is what I mean. You can change the axis headers in the VVE editor to match the ones in your new tune (first picture)

Copy paste that data into excel

Copy/paste transpose into another area in Excel

Then you have data you can paste right into your new 2 bar tune. I don't have a license for that file so I can't post it, but here is the Excel data.

Thanks, I forgot that you define the size of the VVE table. It all makes sense now.

So, after doing this, my STFTs are over -20% compared to what they were with VVE, ideas?

    Well, yeah

But why is this? Different algorithm? Units? Even though it's unitless?

Wish I knew. Might be more of a Bill/Keith/Chris type question. Or DSteck might know if he's still around.
