New VCM Suite with v3 build - no licenses at all

    Hi, guys.

I've bought a VCM Suite Pro a couple of month ago, read a bit - lots of valuable info here, and i've got some experience with another product.
Installed and activated the program, pulled some tunes, never checked licenses 'cause there was no need to save changes yet.

Today i've tried to tinker a bit with a couple of Chevys - nothing special, deleting a couple of things and raising speed limiters. Bought me 4 GM credits (VCM came with Dodge ones), received a e-mail from HPT with an app code, added it into "Help" -> "App key", then checked "Help" -> "License Info" - table is completely empty, no Paid or Fre licenses, just a grey field.

I (as suggested here http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...l=1#post415879) uninstalled the program, downloaded the latest build and installed it (two times just in case there was some sort of a glitch)- no luck, at least with latest app code, don't have an original one near me now.

Had to use competing product for these Expresses.

So, i'm a bit puzzled. Tried searching forum a bit, seems nobody have had exactly the same issues - there were some some info about lost licenses with V3 upgrade and stuff like that.

    Any thoughts?

Are you connected to the VCM hardware when you do the Help->VCM Suite Information and then click on the blue "i" icon?

Tried this, there are available credits in the log.
Have no idea why the license info window's still blank - no licenses there.
    Screenshot attached.

    Thanks.

The screen on the right will not have licenses showing until you license an actual vehicle. So you need to plug into a vehicle that you want to tune. Do a "read". Then purchase the appropriate license. Then it will give you licensing info in that right screen.

Edit: I see you have read some vehicles. If you plan to calibrate one of those vehicles, then when you open the file, you will purchase a license.

Credits are what you have bought/purchased at this time. Then you will use the credits to purchase your licenses.

Think of it like a casino.

You take cash and buy chips(credits). Once you bet at the table, you have converted your chips(credits) into a bet(license).

I just looked at mine. I don't have the interface hooked up, but I don't show any licenses listed in my software either (Help>License Information). However, I haven't looked at it when the interface is attached. My licenses do show in other places.

So, right table sort of shows "license used", right? And licenses currently available are in the log (left table)? Might sound silly, it's a new stuff for me - "other" product has a bit different license system.

Yeah, did some tune pulls from 6.0 Powerstroke (HEUI stuff is new to me, needed some starting points), saw that license prompt everytime i opened those files.

    Thanks for clarification.

The left screen will show available credits. Then once you license a specific vehicle/ecm/vcm it will also display that. The right side only shows the specific vehicle you have licensed.

Right now you have credits. Until you spend your credits on a vehicle, you will not show any licenses.
