Commanded AFR is lower than what I expect.

Why is my commanded AFR always less than what is in the Stoich table (14.7) I have a CAI only as far as mods go. What should i be looking for to find why it is doing that. Its also a flex fuel vehicle but i know it has less than 10% ethanol in it and i dont think that would be that much of a factor. it is running around 14.08 right fully warmed up now according to the scanner. Is it the cold weather? the CAI? 2012 5.3 Silverado 6 spd auto. What am I overlooking?

Log alcohol content or ethanol content in the table display/channels display and see what the truck is saying for content.

The stoich table should be like 14.68 at 0% and closer to 14.10 at 7-10% if I recall correctly.

Beat me, the trucks don't have a real flex fuel sensor to begin with anyway. It's just a virtual sensor that takes reading from the exhaust o2 sensors to make a guess at alcohol content in the fuel.

Just change the whole stoich table to 14.68 and write it to the vehicle and it should always command that while at idle and normal driving.

The sensors on the main fuel line. If it's logging 0% alcohol then it should default to 14.67822. Try disabling the flex fuel sensor.
    Engine>Fuel>Open&closed Loop>flex fuel Master enable/disable.

Factory trucks don't have a sensor on the fuel line. My 2010 and current 2012 don't, it's a virtual sensor.

Log commanded EQ ratio. You can disable flex fuel the same way regardless of whether it's a virtual or real sensor

    And post a log
Post a log and tune if you want help
