    Detect protocol failed

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to connect to a 2000 truck pcm in a swap truck and receiving a Detect protocol failed when trying to read the pcm or connect to the scanner. e varied that the obd2 port was pinned out correctly and that pin 16 has 12.7v pin 4 and 5 are grounded and pin 2 comes from pin 58 from the ecu. I emailed support but was wandering if anyone had any input.

    thanks

are you trying to read in high speed if so, try un-checking that box and try again. sometimes on my car i have to try it 4 or 5 times to get to to read or write.
