    2009 G8 locked ecu

Car is stock, customer deleted the Dod but I can't acces the ecu to delete it
So we got a new ecu from LKQ and went to flash it, it's a 2007 impala v6

What do I need todo to put a stock g8 file in this ecu and make it run in the car
I tried uploading a g8 file I had and did write entire but it won't even activate the starter, says engine emobilized.

Sounds like you need to shut off VATS

Turning off VATS is a hack move for hacks.

Did you plan on changing the VIN to match the customers car? Im sorry, but if you are doing this as a business, friggin do it right or don't do it. I would look past this if it was your own car, but you are charging someone to do this and you can't even set up a PCM to be tuned? Stop now.

Just for kicks I tried turning it off too, no luck

Anyone know what needs to be done to fix this?

Not all E38s are the same and not all OSs are compatible. It is possible that you've damaged the ECM. What OS did you write entire to the new ECM and what part number was it?

Get the correct PCM and have someone with a MDI flash it.

You need to flash it with a MDI unit. All the security and key stuff isn't happy.

if its new then the ecu is effectively blank (will have stuff in there but that's only so the flashing tool can write to it) you need to have TIS2WEB files flashed into the new ecu and then have the immobilizer code / linked to the car so it will start
