    Close enough

I'll look at how that's done later. It's tough not having the setup in front of me and trying to do how to's, it's easy to miss a step on accident. I'll mess with it though

Wow thanks for that. Will be great to get this thing on the water and get some tuning done before the summer comes along.

    NGK Wide band setup

I've added the channel and can see the volts changing when I view the channels, However I can never get it to show up in chart vs time view ?

Any help would be appreciated. Thx !

    Ngk

Yes I followed the whole post. Add channel > Transform > NGK AFX.....

As mentioned I can see the voltage in the list under Channels, yet not in the charts .

I'll double check again in the morning... Thx..

If you're still seeing voltage then you didn't apply the transform correctly. It will show afr or lambda instead once it's working

If you can post screenshots I'll take a look

Went through the whole setup a couple of times again and same result.

I can't get Paint to do a screen shot so I attached the layout file. Thinking it might make a difference, I upgraded to VCM 3.2.

    Thx for any help..

Layout file doesn't include channel list so that won't really help

Save your channel list and post that, I can edit it and post it back for you to try

You've got 4 or 5 widebands added to your channel list. Delete all of them you aren't actually using.

I don't see anything wrong with the way the WB is setup honestly. The only thing I did was set it to use the wideband reading in graphs/charts/gauges in the attached layout. I also deleted all of the other WB's out of the attached channel config

I don't see why this wouldn't work.. but if doesn't work right post a log and I'll take one last look at it.

The channel is setup correctly, you just aren't doing anything with it... typically you'll want a chart or graph with the wideband reading showing.

Are you opening up old logs or making new ones? If you're just opening up old ones I don't know how well that works if the channel wasn't setup correctly when you recorded the log

Dunno how 5 widebands were setup. Maybe from default layout ? I've loaded the files you sent and I still do not see the wideband in the charts. Start car and scanner scans though no Wideband in charts.

    Default layout has no widebands.

Post a log and I'll check it out.

Not sure what you're missing here--the wideband reading is showing up in the channels list. The problem is the interface is not getting a signal, so Scanner is just showing a reading of 9.01 AFR which is the reading it will show when there's nothing connected.

This is a wiring issue, not a Scanner issue. Make sure the wideband 0-5V signal AND the ground wire are connected to the interface. 0-5V to input 1, ground to ground.

I've added the WB reading to a chart in the attached layout but the channel list you were using in the log is fine

Ooop's,,,, My BAD... Wiring is fine as I can see the voltage from the WB in the channel list, I must have sent an idle log file where the WB was OFF......

Now I have a must have a Windoze thing as I can't see the layout file that you sent with the VCM scanner, yet in WIndoze Explorer, it's There ? I'll have to research this...

Make sure you didn't mess with the name. It has to end in ".Layout.xml" exactly or it won't show up in Scanner

Not trying to be a problem newbie here but the first thing I did was copy and paste directly into the layout folder. Renamed exactly without any differences in upper - lower case. Still don't see the other files in the VCM scanner > Open Layout. Deleted the channel and went through the whole add channel, transform procedure again. I can see it active in the channel menu, yet nothing in the charts / graphs. In Windoze Explorer I can see all the files. It may be a KISS problem 4 me tho not sure ?

If it's showing up in the channel list then all you have to do is add it to a chart and/or graph

Right click inside chart, charts layout. In layout editor hit the "+" button for "add series"

Now in the new one that was just added click beside parameter at the TOP where it says "click to insert or change"

Search for NGK, hit the gear icon w/green check mark to filter out stuff that you can't use

Double click on the one that is left

Hit OK when it asks about generic sensor

    And there you have it

Rinse/repeat to add it to a graph
