IAT sensor placement with new build

Been trying to read up on this the past few days and am having a really hard time deciding which way I should go about it. I am just finishing up my wiring harness and can't decide on if I should install the sensor in the intercooler tubing or in the intake itself (edelbrock proflo).
I was originally planning on sticking the sensor in the very back of the intake manifold near the firewall so that I could get the best idea of cylinder temp and farthest away from my water/meth nozzles. But after doing some reading I am getting worried about heat soak issues and hard start / erratic timing issues with it in the metal intake.
I can put it anywhere, just wanna know what the general consensus is on which place is better then the other. Setup is as follows.

    2000 Silverado, 3bar SD
    5.3
    Edelbrock proflo
    241's
    Triple12
2 nozzle's on the water/meth, one right after intercooler, one right before TB
    S480
