Vortec L31 ecu on a boosted engine

Hi guys, I'm building an 84 C30 dually and using a 2000 vortec 454 and 4l80e with a single turbo. I curious if I can setup the L31 with a 2 bar map and tune it under boost? I'm under the assumption that the Vortec ecu's don't have the same support as 411? Is this doable or should I be looking at other routes?

    Thanks,
    Frank

Could you use a 2002 express van 0411? Those do have the 2 bar support and they were running the L31 sbc 350(with distributor). Not sure how different your 454 is but I bet it wouldn't be that difficult to run a 454 from an L31 ecm.

As far as I understand there was no 2 bar OS for the older "black box" ecm which I'm guessing you mean when you say vortec ecu. Maybe someone else could explain the pros/cons of going with a MAF tune for boost on the "black box". I'm thinking your limited by your maf pretty soon If you try to increase airflow too much, which is why most people go sd with boost.

Yes airflow and hard limit of 5800rpm on the black box. I would run the 411 with 2bar on that setup.
