My son's motor blew in his 2004 Colorado. It had the 4cyl in it. My uncle has a 2005 I5 computer from his Colorado that he rolled that he is going to send me. Can I use the 05 PCM in my 04 to run an I5? If not can I do os swap in his current computer to run the i5?

PCM is the same P12 for 04 and 05, 4 and 5cyl. You can either reuse the 04 PCM and use a Tis2Web and an 04 I5 VIn to full flash it to the proper OS OR use the 05 I5 and see if it works. IDK if there are any platform changes that would have come up between those years, but unlikely. You'll need to change the VIN, relink VATS, and perform a CASE relearn.
