With my new exhaust header install on my c5 2002 vette, I decided to delete the rear o2 and disable the air pump.
Next, I disabled the maf to get my ve table recalibrated using wideband afr error %.
I notice now when I come to a stop or blip the throttle, my idle would surge between 400-1200 rpm about 3-5 times before settling at 900 rpm. After two 30 minute drives and applying the afr error %, the surge has gotten better, it only swings about 3 times now before becoming steady?
Is this normal without the maf or should the car have a steady idle on map only? This is a mild cam, barely bigger than an ls6 cam.

I can't post files as I'm at work posting from my phone while I can't stop thinking about it
