    LS1 911 or 944

When swapping a LS1 into a 911 or 944, do you have to reset the ac type to get the ac to work or just leave it with the GM settings for a 1999 camaro PCM?

Ive got a 944 LS6 swap. I didn't install the AC sys at all but, The GM PCM as far as were concerned just needs to know the AC pump is on(running) for the idle increase & also to turn on the radiator fans. Two things here; However if you wired your cooling fans up through the Porsche Fans relay then you'll have to send the AC request signal to the PCM for idle up. The good things here is snow flake button is already wired to turn the fans on. But if you wired your fans GM style using the 3 relays then you'll have to tap the AC request signal to the Porsche climate control head (for the snow flake button) and GM AC request wires going to the PCM for idle up.
This is all of course assuming your using the Porsche climate control head.
