    AEM 30-0300 wideband -experience?

Anyone have experience on this unit? New in the last couple months. Size is right for a perm install with data stream for scanning. Figured I'd ask before buying.

Hello. I am a big fan of AEM. I have owned and used many of their products. For my wideband tuning needs, I like to use the 30-2310 in-line wideband controller. It is the same sensor and controller with 0-5v out for logging and tuning, but no gauge. That gauge is awesome but really just a distraction. it is always wigging out. and it will never provide you with real useful data. you need to be logging with other sensors for that. This installs in the car. you forget it is there, except when you need it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm currently running a NGK AFx which I'd like to use on other vehicles. I wanted to try one with the lsu4.9 and serial port data stream. I'll likely order in a few days.

well. That is one reason I picked it up. I thought I had read that we could use the serial/usb data stream. Turns out, I misread that post and it currently does not. Perhaps in one of the updates. I did ask in the 2.25 scanner thread.

Ha. USB/Serial wideband input is supported in 2.25 scanner. Time to schedule the next project.

Won't be in the initial VCM Suite 3.0 release, but maybe 3.2 or 3.4

Does AME have a single gauge that has dual readouts?

I saw some other product that did, but I can't remember where.

I just ordered a couple of them so I'll let everyone know when I get them up and running. My goal is to have a pair of fast, accurate digital widebands working in 3.0. With Keith and dr.mike helping the cause I have no doubt it's gonna work and work awesome!

The new DM-100 PLX gauge has dual readouts and can read anything on their serial network or off of the OBDII port. It's a 2 1/16" gauge though, unlike their older DM-200 that was a 2 1/2" gauge. Better for most I guess but not for me since I had two DM-200's in 2.5" pods I needed to replace. One of the DM-200's displays quit working, I'm guessing the backlighting went out because it got dim for awhile and then went completely dark.

The other reason I'm replacing the DM-200's is that you can't use two of them off of the OBDII data, much less even one of them and also be using the HPTuners scanner. Too many boxes trying to pull too much data off that network at once! So even though the PLX DM-100 and DM-200 gauges are OBDII also and can display a lot of that data, I never used it as that because I'm always logging with HPT.
