Changing OS from different controller

I have a e37 controller on my car. I want to keep the same controller so my bcm, gauges and cruise ect.. Will operate correctly. E37 is for 2.4L. I am swapping in a ls3 . From what I have found reading up on this the e37 hardware wise is basically the same as the e67 controller. I was hoping someone here might have taken an os from a 67 or 38 and flashed it to a e37. I know the r37 can be flashed for a v8 just having trouble finding any info on it. Any insight into this would be extremely helpful and appreciated

or is it possible to swap in a e67 like many have and make it work with the current bcm where the gauges and cruise will work as it does with the e37?
